Virgils Cafe is a locally owned and operated casual gourmet restaurant featuring fresh local ingredients and seasonal wine-paired menus. Located in the heart of historic Bellevue, Kentucky, we will offer our customers a wide array of internationally inspired fare, wine tastings, art openings, charitable events, and informal cooking instruction. We also hope to lead the way in establishing connections with local farmers and purveyors in Campbell County and surrounding areas. Within this local vision is our willingness and ability to satisfy our guests' particular dietary needs--from a low sodium diet to vegan or vegetarian, we have the ability not only to accommodate you but to also prepare attractive, healthy, and enticing fare.
We've taken great care to seek out, restore, reuse, and refurbish many of the items that furnish the restaurant, kitchen, and bar. Most all of our tables, chairs, plates, glasses, flatware, have been reclaimed from other establishments or forgotten warehouses. Our hope is that this reuse will achieve a lower start up/operational cost, which will ultimately lead to a better value for our guests.
Our menu and bar offerings will take into consideration the seasonal availability of fresh produce, meats, and grains. Again, this culminates into a value-added dining experience with the ability to price items profitably yet still allow us to be very competitive. From-scratch cooking is the basis of everything that leaves our kitchen.
